Apostolos Vlachos obtained a BSc Multimedia Diploma from the University of Teesside, a Master’s Degree in Electronics and Information Processing from the University of Patras and a Master’s Degree in Applied Archaeological Sciences from the University of the Aegean. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of the Aegean, in the field of Digital Archaeology and Digital Humanities. He has participated as a researcher in European research projects in the field of underwater cultural heritage. His main research interests are in the field of 3D imaging, non-destructive methods of mapping archaeological finds, and image and signal analysis.
