EnaliaTec presented the i-ScubaDiving Platform at the 11th EuroGOOS International Conference in Larnaca

EnaliaTec participated in the 11th EuroGOOS International Conference, held in Larnaca, Cyprus, from 18 to 20 May 2026. The conference was organised by EuroGOOS in collaboration with the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI), under the auspices of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026.

During the conference, EnaliaTec presented a poster entitled “Bridging Divers, Citizens and Science: A remote crowdsourcing platform for 3D reconstruction of underwater environments”, focusing on the i-ScubaDiving platform and its role in connecting divers, citizens, and the scientific community.

The i-ScubaDiving platform is a free remote crowdsourcing platform that enables users to contribute underwater visual data, such as photos and videos captured even with action underwater cameras. This content supports the creation of photomosaics3D models, and Virtual Reality experiences.

Through this participation, EnaliaTec highlighted how digital reconstruction technologies, citizen-supported data collection, and VR tools can enhance the documentation, accessibility, and understanding of underwater environments and Underwater Cultural and Natural Heritage.

The participation in EuroGOOS provided an important opportunity to showcase i-ScubaDiving in an international setting dedicated to operational oceanography, innovation, digital transformation, and collaboration between science, technology, and society.
